Listen - Best Coast - The Only Place - Full Album
‘The Only Place’ is the second album from Best Coast and the follow-up to their critically acclaimed debut album ‘Crazy For You’, released on Wichita in 2010.
The album was recorded with Jon Brion (Kanye West, Fiona Apple) in LA at Capitol Records’ famed Studio B.
‘The Only Place’ features a cleaner and richer sound than their debut. Many of the songs’ arrangements are detailed with subtle percussion and unexpected instrumentation. The biggest change from previous releases is how it showcases Cosentino’s voice, this time letting it ring clear, unhidden by distortion and reverb.

Watch - Best Coast - Gone Again
Right now, Adult Swim is in the early stages of the second year of its Adult Swim Kia Singles Program, the free mp3 series that gives away music from a ton of cool artists at no cost. Next week's entry in the series is "Gone Again", a characteristic piece of fuzz-pop from Best Coast. And the Adult Swim folks have also made a video for the song, with Daniel Garciadirecting.
The clip starts out vaguely grim, with an all-female cat-masked firing squad lining up to execute a hapless group of dudes. But then things take a different turn. Shout out to everyone involved for keeping straight faces.
Watch the video below, and head over to the Adult Swim Kia Singles Program websiteTuesday to download the song.

Listen - Best Coast - "First City " (Loretta Lynn Cover) iTunes Session
It's been nearly a year since the release of Best Coast's debut Crazy For You and in turn iTunes invited them down to record an exclusive session of live renditions from their debut LP. Along with that though there was a cover of Loretta Lynn's country vibe filled track "First City". It's not the first time Bethany Cosentino and co have covered the track as they did so back in January but it's nice to hear a HQ recording of it though. The full session is available to download on iTunes now .
